About Me

I am an integrative therapist which means that I practise a wide repertoire of therapies. This allows me to tailor my approach to each individual client’s needs. I practise Gestalt, person-centred, transactional analysis and internal family systems. I am trauma informed and emphasize emotion regulation, compassion practises, mindfulness and breathing. I believe that you have your own answers within and that I can help you to discover these. You may feel stuck, undecided, down or lonely. I can help you become aware of and express what is happening within you. I also believe that therapy is as much about enhancing, resourcing and strengthening as it is about healing difficulties. I would like to help you. I am also studying EMDR trauma therapy (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing ) which is WHO approved. I qualified in level 1 and am continuing to complete all levels by May.

Experience

Integrative Therapist for 5 years

Worked on Student placement in Cork College of Commerce ETB and UCC Student counselling and Development. Worked in Arc House Cancer Support organisation. Worked for Mymind Charity Working in Private Practise in Cork City, Oliver Plunket St. and Victoria Cross. Currently close to completing EMDR (Eye movement and Desensitisation and Reprocessing) trauma therapy.
